Financial close deals are included in the database only if a significant part of the project is funded under a limited recourse or non-recourse project finance structure. The database also contains non-project finance transactions, for example acquisition financing of existing infrastructure assets, to provide users with a sample of these types of transactions that have been under the spotlight in recent years.

Deals in the pipeline are projects in progress and are tracked from the moment they are announced until a bank(s) is mandated by the borrower to arrange project finance.

Apart from providing users with the most up-to-date information on deals in the pipeline, the database is the main source for Infrastructure Journal Global Project Finance League Tables.

The key search features of the database are:

• Global Activity: this a preset volume table by region in the top 3 countries (table on the left hand side)
• User Report Designer: this function enables users to generate detailed tranche reports by searching for specific companies in specific roles.
• Global Map: allows users to search projects in the pipeline, future and past events and closed deals.
• Project Quick Search: for faster access to a specific project, this function assists you to find deals by key word.

The database’s report generating functions, combined with the project fact sheets would enable project finance practitioners to enhance due diligence and pitching for new mandates.
